Counseling Sessions

Counseling is most effective when we meet on a regular basis. We normally schedule a session each week (sessions are normally 50 minutes), at a time that is convenient for both of us to meet. My hours are 9 AM to 8 PM (EST), Monday through Thursday. Some persons are able to schedule sessions on the same day and time each week, while others, because of changes in work schedules and other conflicts, schedule at different times each week.

Due to long commutes for many, TABC may provide double sessions upon request. These can be scheduled on a weekly, every other week, or monthly basis, as needed.

Professional Fees and Cancellations

My hourly fee is $95. Because I provide counseling as a ministry, as well as to pay my bills, I do attempt to provide counseling even if you cannot afford the full fee. I will work with you to explore options, such as paying a reduced fee, meeting bi-weekly, using an employment health savings account for reimbursement, or approaching family or your church for some partial assistance.

Payment by check, cash, Apple pay or Venmo is requested at each session. If you forget to bring your payment, you can mail a check to me at the address above, or simply wait to bring it the next time we meet. For people counseling by internet, checks can be mailed to Dr. Douglas Duncan at the above address.

Once an appointment has been scheduled, you will be expected to pay for this session unless you cancel your appointment 24 hours in advance. For medical emergencies, sudden illness, snow related cancellations and other circumstances that were beyond your control, payment is not expected.
